West Orange Public LibraryTAG members are teens who are passionate about and dedicated to making sure the library is meeting the needs and wants of teens in the community. TAG members are highly reliable and committed to being actively involved with the library. Active members who are age 14+ also earn volunteer hours for participation. TAG Members have the opportunity to get involved in any or all of the following areas:
- Plan, promote, and run special events for teens
- Help out at Youth Services events
- Help develop and prepare passive activities for the Teen Zone room
- Suggest items to add to the library's teen collection (such as books, comics, movies, etc.)
- Help develop content for the library website by contributing to video and/or written book reviews
- Help with other areas as decided by the Teen Librarian and active TAG members
In order to be an active TAG member you need to:
1) Attend our monthly meetings (we meet the 1st Wednesday of every month unless there is a special T.A.G. teen event)
2) Attend and participate at TAG planned/hosted events
3) Be willing and able to volunteer at special Youth Service Programs (Example: Makers Day)
