Spring 2008 Storytimes
Monday, March 10 - Friday, May 9
Registration is required. Storytimes are for West Orange residents only. Register in person or by phone beginning Tuesday, February 19.
Library storytimes are introduce children to the world of books and literacy. Research shows that reading to children stimulates early brain development. Success in reading is related to early exposure to books and language.
Babies and Books:
Wednesdays 6:30pm or
Thursdays 9:30 am or
Fridays 10:00 am or 11am
For infants up to 24
months.Stories, songs and rhymes introduce your baby to language skills.
20 minutes.
Terrific Toddlers:
Tuesdays 10 am or
Wednesdays 2 pm or
Thursdays 11 am
For children ages 2
- 3 ½.
Puppets, stories, songs and fingerplays entertain toddlers and their parents. 30 minutes.
Preschool Page Turners:
Mondays at 3 pm or
Tuesdays at 11am
For children ages 3
½ - 5. Stories, songs and games provide interactive fun for preschoolers. Parents must remain in the Library during the storytime. 30 minutes.
Eager Readers:
Mondays 4:30 pm or
Thursdays 4:30 pm
For children in grades K-3. Stories spark the imagination of young readers. Parents must
remain in the Library during the Library during the storytime. 30 minutes.
Drop-In Family Storytime:
Drop-in Family Storytime is for everyone at the Library. Bring the whole family! Wednesdays Dec. 19, Jan. 16, and Feb. 20 at 7pm. Appropriate for all ages. Sign ups are not required – just drop in!
